GDPR

What is GDPR?

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a new law. From 25th May 2018, any business operating in the EU (or handles the personal data of people that reside in the EU) is required to implement a strong data protection policy. It is all about companies’ legal liability to protect any client data (staff, customers or personal) no matter where it is sent, processed or stored.

It is the EU’s way of giving customers more power over their data and less power to the organisations that collect and use such data for monetary gain. Businesses that fail to meet the new standard will face substantial fines

Thinking of CRM? In the event that CRM stores all your customer and prospect data there is still a requirement to have some good practices around how you protect and care for that data. For example,

  1. Who can access it,
  2. What they can do with it
  3. Make sure they understand what they should and should not do.

Think Data Protection Act pumped up!

If you have invested in CRM, now it is time to invest in the data it holds and its protection. The true value to your business is the data quality, the more you know and hold, the more you should care for it.

ProAptivity deliver CRM solutions that help in meeting the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) regulation. For additional information, contact us on  info@proaptivity.com or on 028 9099 6388.

How CRM can assist organisations with their GDPR responsibilities

A CRM system benefits an organisation through the management and control of the data that it holds. The CRM provides a single version of the truth. It means that there is a central point for the storage editing and updating of all client information. Within the CRM rules can be applied to reflect the organisations GDPR policies. The visibility offered within the CRM system also allows management to make educated business decisions based on hard data.

ProAptivity are an independent CRM solutions provider. We focus on the implementation, training, and support of highly customised CRM software solutions. Our CRM software supported by our sales training provide customers with the tools needed to deliver successful sales process management.

Fundamentally, we help organisations embed CRM best practice throughout their organisation.
